Job description
Background
Revenue Mobilisation, Investment and Trade (REMIT) is a 7-year UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO)’s program implemented by Adam Smith International (ASI). REMIT provides technical assistance to the Government of Pakistan— supporting revenue mobilisation, improving the investment climate, facilitating trade, and strengthening macroeconomic policy and management to enable higher, sustained growth and job creation.
REMIT has prioritised the development of comprehensive procedural manuals that can provide clear guidelines for the execution of tax law & procedure. These guidelines cover crucial FBR processes such as processing and issuance of refunds, processing and issuance of exemption certificates, conduct of audit and assessments, calculation and recovery of advance tax, on-field inspections and record impounding, investigative audits, monitoring of sales at business premise, and arrest and prosecution proceedings.
