JOB CONTEXT & PURPOSE

Collaborating with our global People & Talent (HR) team and Program Managers in Islamabad, Pakistan, to deliver comprehensive HR services to the programs team. Key responsibilities include managing recruitment, overseeing contract administration, implementing HR processes, and maintaining accurate HR documentation in compliance with company policies. Additionally, this role will act as the primary contact for system-related queries from program teams and will oversee the onboarding and offboarding processes for program staff.

The position will report to People Partner – Pakistan and will collaborate with below teams.

  • People & Talent Team

  • Program Managers

  • Program Associates / Consultants

  • Finance Team

  • OS and IT Teams

KEY TASKS

  • Provide dedicated HR support to program(s) by managing end to end recruitment process (job descriptions, advertising, shortlisting, scheduling and planning of interviews).

  • Manage staff life cycle from onboarding, progression to offboarding e.g. arranging buddy, probation, end of contracts etc.

  • Prepare and process HR documents, such as employment contracts / extensions, letters and other employee-related paperwork.

  • Coordinate employee training and development programs, as per program requirements.

  • Facilitate the annual performance review process with the program and provide policy guidance to the PMs, wherever necessary.

  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.

  • Support the Program and P&T team with employee relations issues, including conducting investigations and preparing documentation.

  • Provide training support to users on the usage and functionalities of the HRIS like profile creation, leave management, expenses and time entries and performance management.

  • Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and client requirements.

  • Support the Project and Finance teams in responding to auditors' queries/requests relating to People & Talent.

  • Liaise as necessary with colleagues in various business services functions on any relevant matter.

Job requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration, or a related field is desirable. Undergraduate degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.

  • At least three years of HR experience preferably with a company working in international development space. · Proven experience of managing recruitment life cycle for a variety of roles and overall general people support.

  • Familiarity with Adam Smith International's mission and work. · Basic understanding of the development sector, including relevant technical areas or geographical regions related to the role.
