In Ukraine, we are looking to grow our team of project managers to deliver our portfolio of projects and help further expand our project portfolio. About the role
We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Manager in Kyiv, Ukraine to manage the delivery of our growing portfolio of programmes. Our Senior Managers typically lead the day to day running of a project, with responsibilities including:
Leading project management activities, including oversight of workplans, budgets, invoices, contracts and recruitment processes
Working closely with other project leaders to manage workplans and ensure adequate resourcing to deliver high quality programmes. This includes ensuring team members adhere to project schedules, identifying risks to timeframes and problem solving mitigations.
Leading reporting processes with clients, including progress updates and more comprehensive monthly / quarterly / annual processes
Financial management and reporting, including managing project budgets, ensuring financial management processes are adhered to, reporting to our clients and internally on finances
Leading team recruitment processes end to end, including identifying resourcing requirements, sourcing candidates, and conducting interviews.
Quality assuring project deliverables.
Stakeholder management: maintaining relationships with our counterpart institutions and donors on a day-to-day basis, anticipating risk and issues, developing and delivering approaches to mitigating risks
Supporting design and delivery of project workshop.
In addition, our Senior Managers have an important role in the growth of ASI, in this case in Ukraine and Eastern Europe both by delivering existing projects to high standards and by preparing for and leading our responses to complex competitive public tenders.
Job requirements
About You
This role requires a high level of responsibility and would suit someone in their mid-career with leadership experience
5+ years of relevant experience working in the development sector, preferably working in economic and public investment management programming
Experience working on commercial FCDO contracts is preferable
Strong stakeholder, project and budget management skills
Experience in business development with FCDO, EU or IFIs preferable
Exceptional organisation skills
Excellent written English and fluent spoken English
Excellent interpersonal skills
Native Ukrainian speaker
Commitment to lead and steer programming tied to advancing Ukraine’s recovery and improving governance
